The Tao Te Ching also has advice for anyone facing a big task, and for anyone who leads others.
“Deal with the difficult while it is still easy; do great things while they are still small. All difficult things in the world begin as easy ones, and all great things begin as small ones.Stop trouble before it appears, and keep order before disorder begins.A tree too big to put your arms around grew from a tiny sprout; a tower nine storeys high began with a pile of earth; a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
The best rulers are those whose people hardly know they exist; next come those they love and praise; next, those they fear; and last, those they despise. When the best ruler’s work is done, the people all say, ‘We did it ourselves.’
There is no greater disaster than not knowing when you have enough, and no greater fault than always wanting more.Sincere words are not beautiful; beautiful words are not sincere. The wise person does not store things up for himself: the more he does for others, the more he has; the more he gives to others, the richer he becomes.”

In plain words
