Long ago, in a village, there lived two brothers who got along very well. The older brother had a big family, and the younger brother had married not long before. From spring on, the two worked hard together in the rice field.
Autumn came, and the rice grew ripe and golden. The brothers harvested the rice and shared it out exactly equally. Both brothers were very happy.
That night, the older brother thought, "My brother has only just set up his home, so he'll need more rice." The older brother carried a sack of rice on his back and quietly went to his brother's house. Then he secretly left the sack on top of his brother's pile of rice and came home.
That same night, the younger brother thought, "My brother has a big family, so he'll need more rice." The younger brother also carried a sack of rice and secretly went to his brother's house. The next morning, neither of them had any less rice. The brothers tilted their heads, puzzled.
The next night, and the night after that, the brothers secretly carried rice again. Then one night, the two brothers ran right into each other on the road under the moonlight. The brothers put down their sacks of rice and hugged each other tight.
